Scene One:
Stone Creek; Cuttlebone Lake
Lakeside Inn Courtyard.
PhotobucketAidan Jurado looked at Taylor Kern. “I’m dating Amanda, there’s no way I would ever intentionally kiss you Taylor. So we need to keep it a secret. Mark it up to just a drunken night and forget it every happened.”
The other man sighed.
Up until the kiss, Aidan was sure he would’ve never been attracted to Taylor. He was so arrogant and self assured. Besides, Aidan was falling for Amanda and although lately their relationship had been mostly just physical he knew soon it would get serious.
At least he hoped so. “So please, just forget about it.”
“I’m not a home wrecker Aidan.” Taylor snipped, “But honestly, I doubt there was actually a home here to begin with. That kiss, I understand that you were drunk. So was I, but do you honestly think that it didn’t mean anything? Come on, don’t feed me garbage.”
Aidan shook his head. “You’re full of yourself.”
“It beats lying to myself.”
He hooked him, Aidan shuffled his feet around. “Just forget about it, alright? Nothing else happened and nothing else will happen. This school boy crush has got to end Taylor.”
Taylor smirked. “Is that all you wanted to talk about?”
“Yes.”
“Then why didn’t you just call me?” He asked, stepping closer to Aidan. “Why did you have to text me and tell me to meet you out here?”

Scene Two:
Stone Creek; Sage Gardens
Shenanigan’s Night Club.
PhotobucketAfter texting his brother in hopes that he would get a response, Mac Kern slipped his cell phone back into his pocket and looked around the crowded dance floor. He had already lost Dizzy, they both went separate ways after some older gentleman bought them shots at the bar.
He sighed, realizing tonight might have been a mistake.
But then he saw her, dancing in the crowd. Her body, so seductive as she moved around without a worry in the world. Dark skin in a pale red dress that showed off her curves effortlessly. When Dizzy looked up at him watching her, she smiled.
It took him a moment to realize that although they had both been intoxicated she looked gorgeous, that maybe deep down he knew that Dizzy was supposed to be the woman he should have been with.
There was just something about her. Watching as she made her way towards him, Mac noticed another man right behind her. A more stern looking guy. He pulled Dizzy towards him. This was enough to make Mac swiftly push past the other people in the club.
Dizzy pulled away but he was persistent, she slapped the man.
Before he could lift his hand, Mac pushed him and pulled Dizzy away. The drunk man was back, now angry, shoved Mac into a crowd of people on the dance floor. Causing him to tumble over, Dizzy by his side. It took him about two seconds to get back on his feet and he raised a fist, connecting with the man’s face.
“Break it up!” Clifton Briggs yelled, as a couple of bouncers helped ease the situation.
But Mac ignored the request and fought his way towards the man. “You son-of-a-bitch! Stay away from her!”
Dizzy stumbled over to Mac’s side, tears in her eyes as they both looked at Clifton standing between them and the bouncers who carried the drunk man out of the bar. Clifton chuckled at the irony. “You get the fuck out of my club, you here me? Never come back.”
He stepped closer to Mac. “Not only are you not allowed near Cassie, you’re not allowed to step foot inside this club. How does that make you feel knowing you’ll never lay next to her again? I bet that really stings far worse than any headache you’ll wake up with tomorrow morning.”

Scene Three:
341 Wallow St., Stone Creek. “Schmidt Home”
David & Helen’s Home.
PhotobucketIt had been the first time Helen Schmidt had been home in quite sometime, especially since her husband David had found out about her part in bringing Adrian Stone to town. The way things had went, she felt so bitterly betrayed by her own emotions.
But now she was home.
How long had it been since it felt this quiet? Helen walked around the Living Room and tried to smile at the exquisite upholstery and how nothing seemed to have changed since she’d been gone. When Gail came back to Stone Creek, there was a moment when Helen didn’t think she would last.
Once the bitch came back, Helen fought tooth and nail to stay in David’s life. To protect him from whatever evils his daughter would bring back with her. but it didn’t seem enough. Even after Adrian came back and Gail revealed her recent past.
Things didn’t change. Helen was still on the outs and when David found out about her part in trying to run Gail out of Stone Creek. She closed her eyes. It was a stupid plan but at the time it all seemed so simple. If only things had worked out differently.
“Helen.” David spoke from behind her.
Helen turned around to see her husband standing in the doorway. “How are you David?”
But her words went unanswered, instead the man walked up to her. Garnishing something in his hands he opened her palm and placed a ring in her grasp. “This whole time you have tried to get Gail and Adrian out of my life but the sad thing is you only pushed your way out of my heart.”
“What happened in our past David, we can fix it.” Helen declared.
David sighed. “I want a divorce, there’s nothing to fix.”
She stood there in front of him, a victim of her own games.

Scene Four:
980 Cutler St., Stone Creek. Faustino Cottages #12
Diem & Leia’s Cottage.
Uncle Jeremy.” Diem Joplin spoke as she opened the door and greeted him. It had been awhile since she had least seen her father’s brother. Mostly because he was the Chief of Staff at the hospital so Jeremy was always working if not sleeping.
PhotobucketBut being the only family member to treat Diem like she didn’t shame the family, it was a comfort to see him whenever she got the chance. “It’s nice to see you Diem, I hope I’m not interrupting anything important. How are the cases coming along?”
She smirked. “They’ve been keeping me busy.”
“It seems that something else is keeping you busy.” Jeremy spoke as he watched his niece bring him a glass of tea. He noted her hesitation in responding as she sat across from him, trying to keep a straight face. “Does this have anything to do with Leia being back in town?”
Diem placed her glass on the table in front of her and frowned. “I just told my daughter that although she felt that Richard was the love of her life, she can and will find another.”
“Do you not believe that?”
“I’m still looking for the one who could fill the void William left.”
He sighed, knowing full well that Diem had a vivid and historic relationship with William Maverick. Not only was he the father of Leia, but William was also a part of the Maverick family and his own family went into business with William’s.
“Maybe you shouldn’t be looking for someone to fill a void left by him.” Jeremy spoke up. “Maybe you need to find someone who makes you feel something entirely different? You are the only one who can convince Leia that there is more to life than Richard.”
She nodded. “How about you find something to live for and Leia will follow suit.”
“Is that possible?”
“Anything is possible my dear.”

Scene Five:
980 Cutler St., Stone Creek. Faustino Cottages # 10
Natalie & Amanda’s Cottage.
PhotobucketNatalie, it’s your mother. I really don’t know why you’re not answering your phone but I wanted to let you know that I’ll be leaving town for a couple days,” The voice on the other line spoke as Natalie held the phone to her ear. “I need you not to ask questions or do that freak-out thing you like to do.”
She grumbled, her mother had pretend to know everything about her and it irritated Natalie. “Just letting you know, I’ll be with your father. He said to tell you that he loves you. I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I’m sure you’ll be too busy to miss me anyways.”
“I’ll call you when I get back in town.” The click signaled her that Kelly Marlowe had hung up the phone without even saying goodbye. Natalie tossed it onto her bed and wrung her neck.
Her parents definitely knew how to make her feel unwanted, but she didn’t have time to worry about them as the doorbell rang. “I’m coming!”
Amanda had been missing for most of the day, probably at Shenanigan’s Night Club, working. At least one of them had a job that they tended to on a daily basis. Now that Oliver was gone, Natalie would spend a lot of time training to become HEAT’s top photographer.
It was definitely not her dream.
Ryan?”
“Surprised to see me?” He asked, kissing Natalie.
She pulled away. “I just-” She caught herself, slipping into his arms. “It’s just been a really long day is all. But having you here it makes up for it.”
“Good.” Ryan replied, walking into the Living Room as Natalie closed the door behind him and followed him into the nearest room. “I’m glad I can help you cheer up.”
“Move in with me.” It was enough to catch Ryan off-guard, she stepped closer to him trying to keep from crying. It was true, Ryan always made her feel better and with Amanda on the verge of leaving and her parents somewhere in San Diego, Natalie felt more alone than ever.
Natalie strained a smile. “Move in with me? I feel so alone here and Amanda has been talking about moving out. I just, it would make sense if we finally took the step to be together for reals. Like a real, completely relationship. Things have been tough for us.”
“Which is why I think we need to take things slow.” Ryan told her.
She frowned.
“Lets just go to bed.” He led Natalie to her room.

Scene Six:
505 Auburn Rd., Stone Creek. “Thurlow Cottage”
James, Caitlyn & Aidan’s Cottage.
Photobucket“Come in Kirsten.” Caitlyn Thurlow greeted her step-daughter, she moved to the side and let the younger woman into the cottage. Although it was nearly time for bed she felt Kirsten being there was a good sign. “I already put Megan to sleep I’m afraid.”
Kirsten nodded knowingly. “I figured. I just couldn’t stay away from her and I wanted to see if I could come over and spend the night with my daughter.”
“Of course.” She was led to the spare room that Aidan had left for Megan while he stayed at The Lakeside Inn until he had found a place of his own. “How is Charlene doing?”
“I really don’t know. She seems so different than the woman she used to be when I was a child. Part of me feels really bad for Charlene, but another part is wondering if we are doing the right thing by allowing her to stay in our home. After all, she never tried to help with Megan.”
Caitlyn knew the feud between the Thurlow’s and the Sutton’s very well. It was historical that neither family got along through the decades that they both resided in Stone Creek. When Megan was born and the truth was revealed. Things were hard for Kirsten.
Patrick and Charlene didn’t want anything to do with the little girl. “Are we doing the right thing?”
“It’s really hard to say what the right thing is Kirsten.” Caitlyn responded, thinking back to her conversation with Damien earlier and how she has been keeping it a secret from her husband, James. “But Megan can stay here as long as she needs to.”
Caitlyn rubbed Kirsten’s shoulder. “That means you can come stay here as well.”
“Caitlyn’s right.” James Thurlow spoke, approaching his daughter and kissing her forehead. “You are welcomed here anytime Kirsten. What you are doing, reaching out to Charlene Sutton, is the right thing. Don’t you ever question helping another person.”
Kirsten gulped. “Thank you both, I’m going to retire for the night if you don’t mind?”
She turned to look at her little girl, sleeping so peacefully in the huge queen sized bed. Kirsten knew that leaving Charlie’s side to be with their daughter was the right thing to do. How they could ever let someone else comfort Megan was not an option.
Kirsten slipped into the bed and wrapped her arms around Megan, who sleepily snuggled into her mother’s warmth.

Scene Seven:
Stone Creek; Now Town
Mayor’s Office; Outside.
PhotobucketAfter sending his secretary home early so that she could spend time with her family. Something that Damien himself felt good about. Which wasn’t very often for him to feel sympathetic towards another person that wasn’t Caitlyn or Gillian.
“Damien.”
He sighed, stopping in his tracks. The voice of his future father-in-law was the last he had wanted to hear after a long day of going through procedures and Mayor work. But he turned around anyways, musing the man in the process. “I suppose not even the late February storm isn’t enough to keep you off my back.”
“Starting to get how this town works, I see.” Patrick replied snobbishly. He walked up to Damien Crenshaw and smirked. “I think the two of us really need to talk.”
Damien shrugged. “That’s something that we don’t agree on.”
“Damn it Damien!” Patrick shouted, pulling at Damien’s coat and bringing him closer to him. “When I say we need to talk, you talk. I don’t give a rats ass if you are now the Mayor of Stone Creek. Which, by the way, should have never happened.”
“But it did.”
Patrick glared at him. “I’ll find out the truth.”
It took Damien a minute to pull himself away from Patrick’s grip. Straightening his coat and chuckling at the thought of Patrick losing his cool just like Clifton had done once before. He knew then, that he had the men in this town in the palm of his hand.
“The truth,” Damien scoffed. “is that the people in this town trust me more than they trust a barbaric Sutton like yourself. That’s the truth-”
The pain in Damien’s stomach cut him off from the speech he had just prepared for Patrick. He doubled over, holding his stomach as it tried to recover from the blow. “Are we resorting to school boy fights now Patrick? Do you feel better, knocking me to my knees?”
“As a matter-of-fact, I do.” Patrick sneered. “If you don’t want to talk to me Damien, then just listen? I don’t know what kind of game you are playing but I will not let you destroy my daughter’s reputation in the corporate world. So you better break the engagement.”
Damien chuckled.
“What’s so funny?”
He looked up, a weary grin on his face. “Well, Patrick. We were waiting to gather the family together for this. But seeing as you can’t play fair then I guess I’m going to have to tell you myself. I can’t break the engagement Patrick, because we are already married.”
Patrick gulped in disgust. “I guess Gillian is full of secrets.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Ask your wife.” Patrick spat, stepping away from Damien as he climbed back up to his feet.

Scene Eight:
2300 Cranberry St., Stone Creek. Stone Creek Apartments #23
Mac Kern’s Apartment.
Dizzy Roberts twirled with her hair as she sat next to Mac Kern. Her knees knocked together as they just talked. It had been about an hour or so since they were kicked out of the club and since then they had explored Stone Creek to their greatest extent.
PhotobucketNow, somehow, they ended up back in Mac’s apartment with a bottle of Jack Daniels. “That man really needs to learn how to treat his customers.” She spat, thinking back to when Clifton Briggs kicked them out of Shenanigan’s. Dizzy sighed and looked at Mac.
“He does still hate me for the whole Cassie thing.” Mac replied.
“Well I hate him for hating you.” She chuckled, which caused Mac to laugh as well. “For hating him, for hating you and hating me.”
Mac looked at Dizzy. “I don’t hate you.”
It was true. After everything that Mac had been through with Cassie, she was the only person to try and help Mac forget about Cassie. Although for the most part, it really didn’t help. He felt the bruises all over his body as the result of Dizzy’s help.
But he couldn’t hate her.
Instead Mac thought back to when he was in his car and Isobel Cortez sat across from him in nothing but her bra and panties. How she had asked him if he could go anywhere, where would he go? How Isobel tried to get him to leave town with her before the accident.
They hadn’t met before that night. “Do you love her?”
Mac looked up at Dizzy, broken from the memories of Isobel, a woman he barely knew but wished that he had the chance to learn everything about. He shook his head. “No, I don’t think I do.”
“Good.” Dizzy spoke, their eyes locked and she leaned in. Mac could feel the warmth of Dizzy’s body getting closer to him, so he closed his eyes and leaned into her. It had been awhile since he kissed anyone and having Dizzy, the woman who tried to help him move on, kissing him back.
He pulled away.
Both taking a moment to drunkenly discard the consequences before reaching over and tugging each other out of their clothes. Their lips meeting once again.

Scene Nine:
507 Auburn Rd., Stone Creek. “Wilkinson Cottage”
Gideon, Daphne & Penelope’s Cottage.
PhotobucketReturning home, Gideon Wilkinson walked into the house and felt the warmth from inside relaxing his freezing body. The February storm was definitely starting to kick in and he wished that it would pass quiet this year. Not like last year when they had lost a couple of their own.
He smiled as he spotted his wife, a cup of hot chocolate in her hands. “I can make you a cup if you’d like? Couldn’t sleep much with the wind hounding outside.”
“Oh, Daphne that would be lovely.” He spoke, stepping into the kitchen with his wife and taking a seat. “I had such a long day at the Police Station. Couldn’t get the man who shot Miles to talk much about why he shot him, but I found a connection to Cassie.”
Daphne stopped what she was doing, only a moment. Then she continued making the drink for her husband. “Did Cassie go down to the station and help you identify the man?”
“No.” Gideon sighed. He had spent so long on the force that he had seen people go through what Cassie was currently going through. He knew that after everything that she had been through, it was only natural that she was just avoiding the situation.
Even after the discovery one of his officers made today, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to involve Cassie. But he knew without her, they wouldn’t be able to hold the man for very long. She was the only person who saw the man’s face, the only one who could link him to the crime.
“Well then what?” Daphne asked, she leaned against the counter. “You said that you found something out that links the man to Cassie. What is it that you found out Gideon?”
“His name.” Gideon replied, the look on his face was enough to worry Daphne. He looked petrified by the discovery that they made. “His name is Callum Lakhani, he’s Cassie’s twin brother.”
