History
His age has shown the vulnerable side to Mac Kern, but his employer has shown his manipulative side. He spent most of 2010 catering to whatever Helen Schmidt needed as her secretary. Including helping find Adrian Stone and bringing him back to Stone Creek to jeopardize any plans Gail was making.
He met and fell for Isobel Cortez the night of the accident that caused her to fall into a coma and was the only person to comfort Catalina through the crisis. It was this relationship that helped him figure out what he wanted to do with his life, he quit his job working for Helen and headed to school. Mac was one of the few people who stood by Catalina’s side when she pleaded insanity and later was sent to Wallingford Springs Institute.
In 2011 he found an interest in Cassie Lakhani and the two became inseparable as the weeks went by. Finding time to open up to her and helping with Lucian while they both studied at school, Cassie was starting to fall for him as well. Until October came around and Lucian had a fall. While both were at the Emergency room, Clifton barged in and assumed that Mac had replaced him.
Cassie broke things off with Mac. Taylor Kern came to town looking for his younger brother, Mac. Although things between them had been strained, the current state of his life took a backseat as he reacquainted with Taylor. But Mac still longed for Cassie, his brother’s roommate, Dizzy Roberts, invited Mac to the New Years Eve Ball so that they could get Cassie back. But Cassie pushed Mac away once again.
