History
Born on October 20th, 1989, to Mathias Jurado; a man who came to an agreement with James Thurlow to liquidate his father’s steel company, and Shannon Thurlow Jurado. Although his mother made him take piano lessons, Aidan grew up always wanting to impress his father and after his sister Imogene Jurado was born in 1992 and when she was old enough to attend ballet classes Aidan attempted to follow into his father’s shoes. But he was much too young to garner Mathias’ attention. In 2009 his social life was beginning to unravel as the twenty year-old Aidan Jurado began to drink heavily and sleep with anyone who’d flash him a smile. This ambitious attitude came to a halt when he had a one-night stand with socialite, Jacquelyn Li and impregnated her. Mathias paid Jacquelyn to leave Paris to raise the baby away from Aidan and then forced his son to work at Thurlow-Jurado Overseas. He eventually became head of security.
While working for his father, it was apparent that Aidan was finally starting to find his place by Mathias’ side and while working for Thurlow-Jurado Overseas was taking up most of his time, Aidan had also began seeing a man named Wesley Quinn who he also had a one-night stand with in early 2009. Aidan began to see the man as something more, but wouldn’t admit it to anyone else. They solidified their relationship in 2010 but he still hid it from his family.
Start of the Series...
In late 2010 Aidan began to feel that not only was his relationship stressing him out, but that his father wasn’t taking him serious enough. This gave a man named Edward Rayburn the opportunity to con Aidan into forging his mother’s signature and getting revenge on his father. Edward explained how much promise he seen in Aidan and eventually was the man who rigged a car that caused Shannon Jurado’s death in 2011. He was devastated by the reveal and after Edward’s suicide, Mathias fired Aidan from the company out of anger. At the funeral, Wesley came back into Aidan’s life and they shared a moment together before they went their separate ways. This moment was witnessed by his sister, Imogene and once they got everything in the open, Imogene admitted that she cared for her brother no matter what.
Aidan left Paris for Stone Creek after the funeral and although he wasn’t able to get a job at Thurlow Lumber Mill Enterprises, Aidan was able to snag a job working with his cousin’s husband, Charlie Sutton. Charlie insisted that Aidan be his assistant while he learned the ropes of the company and was able to gain the younger man’s trust. While working for Charlie in 2011 Aidan bumped into a woman named Amanda Tucker who he mistook for a hooker and once they cleared the air they began a casual -- but sexual -- relationship with no strings attached. Things became deeper for Aidan and they began dating.
When Taylor Kern whisked into town, he came to Charlie Sutton and asked the man if he could host a book signing at the Lakeside Inn. Having thought it was a good idea to not only help Taylor, but also bring attention to the Inn, both Charlie and Aidan agreed to host the book signing. Aidan felt a tinge of flirtation with the older man, and when Charlie put Aidan in-charge of Taylor’s book signing he went out of his way to prove his feelings for Amanda were true. On New Years Eve, Taylor made it apparent that he was interested in Aidan, but Aidan brushed him off. It was revealed in early 2012 that they both shared a kiss on New Years Eve and was cause for Aidan’s struggle with his feelings.
In early 2012, Aidan asked Greta to help him find a place of his own now that he was making enough money to support himself. He thanked his uncle James and Caitlyn for letting him stay in their home and settled in a condo that Greta was able to help him find. When Greta asked Aidan if he was looking to live as a bachelor or if he had someone in mind, Aidan immediately thought of Taylor but instead asked Amanda to move-in with him. This caused tension for the couple as Amanda felt unsure if they should move forward with their lives. However things would only get a lot more complicated when Amanda overheard Aidan and his cousin, Kirsten talking about the kiss he shared with Taylor Kern. Amanda felt betrayed and left for work early -- bumping into Taylor -- and once the man introduced himself to Amanda she knew the truth... Aidan was keeping a secret from her. Hurt even more, Amanda broke-up with Aidan by pouring a bottle of water over his head and storming away.
Even though he tried to fight his feelings for Taylor Kern, Aidan found the only feelings he had for Amanda were feelings of guilt and during a confrontation with Taylor, Aidan pulls the man into a kiss. Once Amanda begins to come around to what happened, she asks Aidan if they could go to lunch and talk through their problems and when she asks Aidan if they could start over he admits that he doesn’t think it’s the right time. Meanwhile Aidan and Taylor begin to start spending more time together and eventually they take their relationship to the next level by having sex. The struggle comes, however, when Aidan is still struggling with his sexuality and get embarrassed by Taylor’s public affections. Kirsten asked Aidan if he really thought that Taylor would just sit idly in the closet with him. When Aidan confronts Taylor, the older man insists that he just wants Aidan to treat him like an equal partner and not some dirty secret. During Christmas of 2012, while Aidan’s grandmother is visiting, Aidan introduced his extended family to Taylor and admitted that they were dating. Although his family appeared to be accepting to the couple, Aidan still held reservations.
