Scene One:
Paris, France.
James Thurlow stood above the casket as it stood upon the hole in the ground. The carved box didn’t seem as special as they told him it would be. The engravement didn’t seem so meaningful as he had wanted it to be. He had spent most of his life watching out for his younger sister and today, nothing seemed worth her.
He stood there, with his family huddled close. His mother, Anita Thurlow, stern and calculated stood on his right side. His arm around her to keep the woman from wandering into another state of being. How could both of his siblings be gone?
Caitlyn Thurlow, his wife of seven years, stood on his left side with her hand rubbing his shoulder. Caitlyn didn’t even get to know his sister Shannon. Not like James would have liked her too. There were so many stories he could tell Caitlyn, so many memories, but they would never live up to them actually co-existing with one another.
As the reverend went on about how Shannon was taken too soon, James couldn’t help but look up at his children. The two who were able to come and pay their respects. Emmet was growing up to be a good man. Taking charge of the legal aspects of the family business.
Next to his son was Emmet’s sister Kirsten, a woman so strong and confident that it reminded him of his own father at times. Her husband Charlie Sutton stood behind her as she leaned against him for support.
Shannon wasn’t one to hold back her emotions. Whenever something bad would happen, she was the first to shed a tear but James always thought that that was where Shannon had got her strength. Because after those tears were done she would start all over from scratch. Repairing all the bad.
His niece, Imogene Jurado, was a spitting image of her mother. Although James didn’t know the young woman as well as he would have hoped. He knew that she was a forced to be reckoned with and she had a hold on her father and brother just like Shannon had a hold on the Thurlow family.
Imogene sat on the other side of the coffin, her brother’s hand in hers. It always pained James to know that neither of them knew what it felt like to have a big family for support. He often wanted to bring them to Stone Creek so that they could have that luxury, but as time grew old so did those plans.
Aidan Jurado was stern, no tears shed, but he was deep in thought. It was an expression that James had seen so much in his mother, Anita. There was something about Aidan that seemed collected and calm and it made James feel comfortable knowing that Imogene had him to rely on.
All dressed up in a black tuxedo, clutching a single rose stood Mathias Jurado. One of James’ loyal business partners. He was a man that had a good head on his shoulders. Smart and skillful in every move that he made. It was an attitude that swayed many people his way.
But today it didn’t look that way. His charisma was washed away and in it’s place was utter fear. This was something that James knew all too well and he breathed a deep breath and closing his eyes to pain respects to his sister Shannon as the lay her body to rest.

Scene Two:
Paris, France.
“I miss you too sweetie and after we get a few things settled here we will be on a flight back to Stone Creek.” James Thurlow spoke into the cell phone, he paced around the house. Saying his varies of hellos and greetings to everyone in attendance as he waited for one person to walk into the hallway.
Mathias Jurado entered, confused as to why James was in the hall, isolated from the rest of the family. “I didn’t think I would find you away from your entire family. How are you holding up James? I think the children are falling apart out there with all these people.”
“They seem to carry their own.” James acknowledged, he took a swig of his wine.
“Yeah, well, they’re used to being in the spotlight.” Mathias defended. “If you don’t mind, I think I am going to ask everyone to leave soon. I know you wanted to meet more of the people I have employed at Thurlow-Jurado Overseas but I hope you understand-”
“I actually wanted to talk to you alone anyways.”
Mathias looked his brother-in-law over, James could tell he was suspicious of something. But it never occurred before to James that he would feel like there was some kind of hostility between the two. He shrugged it off, “How about we talk about it in an hour, maybe at your office?”
“We can discuss it now James, I do have a study you know.” Mathias inquired. “Nobody will bother us there. Are you okay though? You seem a bit off. No offense of course.”
James eye’d him. “None taken.”
“What do you think they’re discussing?” Kirsten Sutton asked, she held a glass to her lips eager for a drink to keep her mind from straying. The whole trip to Paris had been one huge trip down memory lane and she didn’t know if it was all a good thing.
Charlie held his wife from behind, letting her lean on him for support. “Probably just business stuff, maybe things that had to do with your Aunt Shannon? I heard a couple suits talking about her position in the company and handing it over to someone other than Aidan.”
The woman nodded her head. “They wouldn’t do that. Aidan has worked so hard for that position, my uncle Mathias would never go behind his own son’s back and give the position to somebody else.”
“Don’t be so certain.” Scoffed Imogene from the side of them. She joined with her own form of an alcoholic beverage. Kirsten could smell the liquor invade her nostrils and shot Imogene a worried glance. But knew her cousin would grow angry if approached about her drinking, so Kirsten stood quiet.

Scene Three:
Paris, France.
“I thought I would find you in here.” Wesley Quinn spoke. His words sent chills down Aidan Jurado’s back. The two looked at each other with longing looks. Aidan knew that Wesley would be attending the funeral of his mother, Shannon. But he had no idea that the man would stick around.
Aidan lingered over a couple books in his father’s study. It was a place he hardly entered because for the most part, it wasn’t allowed. But today he needed to be in a place that didn’t remind him of his mother. So he had sat in here for what seemed like hours.
“That’s what happens when you share everything with somebody else.” Aidan quipped, he watched as Wesley looked away ashamed. “But you wouldn’t know, would you?”
“You really want to do this here?” Wesley asked.
Anger was filling Aidan’s abdomen. “My mother is dead.”
“I know.” Aidan could feel Wesley step closer to him. He could smell the scent of his cologne in his nostrils and it flashed him back to a time when things were so simple for the two of them. Before they had the bright idea to be more than friends.
“Yeah well, what you don’t know is that I was the one who put her in that grave.” Aidan slurred, he closed his eyes trying to replay everything in his head. The phone call he got from his father when he learned that his mother had been in a car accident.
Aidan was in bed with some random guy he met at the local pub.
Wesley took the younger man in his arms. “You didn’t do anything Aidan. I know the type of person that you are and you are not a killer. What happened to Shannon was awful, but you didn’t cause the accident. I came here because I knew you would be blaming yourself.”
He could feel his ex-boyfriend’s lips upon his, Aidan wanted them to linger like they always had before. But at the same time he wanted to push him away. There had been so much pain shared between the two of them that made Aidan want to vomit.
When they parted, Aidan sighed. “I killed her, I killed Shannon Jurado and there is nothing else that I can do.”
“Oh my god.” Imogene gasped, her glass falling to the ground and shattering in pieces. Everything she overheard being over shadowed by the sight that she was seeing. Her brother in another man’s arms confessing to killing their mother. It was all too much for her and she fainted.

Scene Four:
Paris, France.
2006
Kirsten flopped down on her cousin’s bed. “I’m sorry that I got us in so much trouble last night. I didn’t mean for us to be out so late, I guess I just lost track of time.” She recalled the three of them sneaking into the house at five in the morning.
But her Aunt Shannon was already aware the children were missing and waited up for them to show. “I already talked to her after you and Imogene went to sleep. She promised not to tell your father if that’s what you are worried about Kirsten.”
“Truthfully I just wanted to experience something other than Stone Creek, you know?” Kirsten sighed. “I love my hometown, but it’s so small right now. There isn’t much to do and especially with them expanding it into a city right now. It still feels like a small town.”
“I just wanted to do something without my father watching my every step.” Kirsten admitted.
Aidan smiled. “I know the feeling.”
She knew what he was talking about. Kirsten thought back to when she saw her younger cousin in the club with another guy. There was no hurt feelings between the two, she would never judge him for his preferences. But she knew that she had to bring it up. If only to be the one person he could rely on.
“Listen, Aidan about last night-”
“I already told you cousin, don’t worry about it.”
Kirsten shook her head. “I know about your secret. I saw you kissing another guy in the dark and I just want you to know that it’s okay. You don’t have to keep anything from me. Honestly I don’t know much about being gay, but I won’t judge you.”
“I’m not gay!” Aidan spat.
“Okay.” Kirsten obliged, she held her hands out. “Well, I don’t care what you are. No matter what happens, you are still my cousin and I love you.”
He smiled, Kirsten could tell he was embarrassed at the situation.
“How about we just have a simple day out today? No clubs, no drinking and no sneaking out?” Aidan hinted. “We can stop by Thurlow-Jurado Overseas and maybe tinker around there for a little bit and then maybe have some coffee afterwards?”
“That sounds boring!” Imogene spoke from the doorway. “Why don’t we go pay that boy you were talking to a visit Kirsten.” There was an evil grin upon her face. “What was his name again? Gavin?”
“How do you know about that?” Kirsten gasped.
Imogene pointed to her eyes. “Greatest things god gave me... so far.”
“Gross.” Aidan spat, slipping off the bed. He went to his dresser and pulled a shirt out. “Wait, Gavin. You don’t mean Gavin Fitzroy do you?”
This was Imogene’s cue to over-step her boundaries. “That is exactly who I mean. Word on the street is that Gavin Fitzroy had his arm gripped on a pretty little blond from out of the country last night. From what I saw he was only getting started.”
Pulling his shirt on, Aidan shook his head. “You need to stay away from him Kirsten, the man is bad news.”

Scene Five:
Paris, France.
Emmet Thurlow walked into the building, it was a definite step up from the Sunset Valley and Stone Creek branches of the family company. So it was a lot to take in. Why he had to miss half of his Aunt’s Reception to meet up with his grandmother at Thurlow-Jurado Overseas was beyond him. He reminded himself to ask her about it once he found her. It still dumb-founded him as to why she wanted only him to come in the first place.
“Emmet!” Anita yelled, from behind. Quickly but gracefully the woman shuffled to his side and pulled him into the nearest elevators. “I’m so glad that you would meet me here, I hope it wasn’t hard to find the place. Especially without a driver.”
Emmet smirked. “The navigation in the rental did help a little. But thanks for the concern.”
“I know I should have called the driver for you, but I just can’t bring myself to alert anybody else’s attention.” Her posture seemed tense and her words less than proper as she spoke in a hustled tone.
“What is this all about Grandmother?”
Anita shot him a look. “I’d rather talk about this in my office. There’s just something about the security in this building that I don’t trust. Which is why I got my office screened.” She thought for a second before continuing. “I guess this means I’ll have to get it screened again.”
The elevator dropped them off on the top floor, in which Anita led her grandson to her office and closed the door behind them. “I need your help in trying to figure out what is going on in this company.”
“I don’t follow.”
Taking a beat, Anita shuffled over to her desk and sifted through a couple of files in search of what she needed to explain everything. “Here, look at this.” She spoke, handing a folder over to her grandson. “Your Aunt was working on something before her death. She was looking at obtaining some rare diamonds.”
Emmet looked up from the files. “Do you really think someone killed my Aunt?”
“Not only do I think someone killed her, I think it was someone inside this company.” She folded her arms. “Ever since I started looking into Shannon’s accident, I’ve been working alone on this. I can’t talk to Mathias, he has stone walled me.”
“She was his wife, the subject is still sore.” Emmet admitted. He filed through the folder. “There’s a couple permits here that don’t pertain to necessities to the company. Do you know if Aunt Shannon ever got her hands on the rare diamond?”
Anita gulped. “Not one person told me about these diamonds in the first place! I had no idea about them until I stumbled onto these files and even then, I had to literally stumble on them. Nearly broke my ankle!” Turning her attention back to her grandson she looked solemnly.
“Well someone delivered them here.”
She perked up. “What are you talking about? Let me see those.” It must have been something that she skimmed over. Without her reading glasses she was known to skip certain things. Reaching for them, she placed them on the bridge of her nose.
“I didn’t authorize this.” Gasping, she knew exactly who did. “That’s Shannon’s signature. But that makes no sense because this was signed hours after she died.”

Scene Six:
Paris, France.
“She’s fine now.” Kirsten Sutton spoke, walking over to her cousin’s side. “I watched her down a bottle of wine earlier. I doubt she will remember anything that happened.”
Wanting it to be true, Aidan smiled warmly. “Imogene remembers everything that happens. It’s her little trait, to collect little tidbits of information, like a little spy. She used to read some book about a girl named Harriet as a child. Imogene doesn’t forget anything.”
Taking it as his cue to leave the room, Charlie kissed Kirsten on the forehead. “I’ll be in our room if you need me. Keep your chin up Aidan, I’m sure everything will work out in your favor when Imogene wakes up.”
“Thanks.” Aidan sighed, he looked up at Kirsten. It was strange to know that Kirsten had been there for him through thick and thin. The fact that she knew his greatest secret was something he cherished. “Do you believe me about my mother?”
“You didn’t kill her.” Kirsten spoke, she closed the door to his room. “I know you might feel like you did, but what happened to your mother was an accident Aidan. There was no way that you could have caused her car to swerve out of control.”
Her younger cousin put his head down in shame. “I did something really bad Kirsten, at the time, I wasn’t even thinking. At the time I didn’t think that my mother’s death would be the outcome of my decision. I just didn’t think because he drove me to this.”
The words coming out of Aidan’s mouth were daunting, Kirsten couldn’t help be shiver. “What are you talking about Aidan, what happened? What did you do?”
“When my father allowed me to work at Thurlow-Jurado Overseas I was ecstatic about the idea. I thought the prospect about working with Mathias was going to be good for me. He has treated me like I was a child. I don’t get to do anything there.”
Kirsten sighed, she went through the same thing with her father. “Well have you talked to him about it?”
“There’s no talking to my father.” Aidan responded. “Then it happened, someone saw my true potential and offered me a deal. The deal was, that if I could help them secure these diamonds that my mother was trying to obtain then he would give me a job.”
“Oh, no Aidan.” Kirsten held his hand. “This man, did he cause your mother’s accident?”
He shook his head. “I don’t know. There’s no way that I can prove any of this because I haven’t been in contact with him for a couple days now. Kirsten something is seriously wrong, after my mother died, he just dropped out of existence.”
“We need to find this man Aidan and we need to figure out if your mother’s accident was really one.” Getting to her feet, Kirsten looked around the room. “Have you talked to your father about this? Have you told anyone your suspicions?”
“If I tell anyone they will think I was a traitor.”
“Why?”
Aidan looked as if he was going to cry. “I forged my mother’s signature on a contract.”

Scene Seven:
Paris, France.
2006
“Do you ever think about leaving Paris?” Kirsten asked as she walked alongside her cousin Aidan. Immediately she shook her head, of course he didn’t. Who would want to leave a place like this.
Aidan sighed. “I have. Sometimes I feel like escaping my father’s shadow would help me find my own. But the city itself, I love it too much to leave it behind. He wants me to join the family business you know? I’m kind of excited about it.”
“That’s really good! I’m sure Aunt Shannon would be happy to have you onboard.” Kirsten parted her hair, taking a glimpse of Gavin as the two cousins entered the coffee chop. He must have been following her. A smile emerged on her face. “When my dad asked me to join the family business, I just couldn’t do it. It’s not my forte, but i am glad at least someone in this family caught the bug.”
“Bringing my ideas to the forefront might be the way to get my father to look at me as an adult and not just a child.” Aidan quipped, walking up to the counter to order. He watched as his cousin’s attention wandered. “Do you want to go take care of that pesky mosquito before you order a nice relaxing latte?”
Kirsten smiled. “I’ll only be a minute.”
“Well, I’ll be over here.” Aidan spoke as an attractive employee began to ask for his order.
Leaving her cousin’s side, Kirsten walked outside the cafe to greet Gavin. He had been only a couple hours since she had last saw the man and already she was feeding for him. “Didn’t think I would be seeing you again. With this city being so big and me only being here for a short time.”
Gavin smiled. “How could I not see you?”
“Are you stalking me?” Kirsten mocked, teasingly.
He smirked. “I actually live around here, this is where I get my coffee. So no, I’m not stalking you. But it’s cute how you think so. What are you doing tonight?”
“I can’t go out tonight, we were caught coming in.” She admitted, hoping he would understand. Although she wanted to hang out with him, she didn’t want to get her cousins in trouble.
“Well that’s too bad. I was going to ask if you wanted to have dinner with me, jus the two of us? Then go out dancing afterwards.” Gavin spoke, he turned away from Kirsten, but she stepped in his way. “What?”
Kirsten shrugged. “I’ll sneak out again, maybe around ten?”
“Sounds good to me.”
“I have to go see my cousin.” Kirsten said, her face a bright red as she left his side and returned into the building. “There, everything is taken care of.”
“Are you sure about that?” Aidan asked, his coffee in his hands. “Gavin doesn’t seem to heartbroken over you telling him you can’t see him anymore.”
She looked over at the man as he entered the cafe and smirked at her. Kirsten wasn’t heartbroken with her decision either, especially since it meant she got to see Gavin some more.

Scene Eight:
Paris, France.
“I don’t follow.” Kirsten spoke as she folded her arms across her chest. Her husband, Charlie Sutton, stood next to her with a furrowed brow. If what her grandmother and her brother were saying was true, then her Aunt Shannon’s death was deeper than they could have fathomed.
Emmet handed over a contract that was forged with Shannon’s name. “This isn’t Aunt Shannon’s signature because this document was signed after she died. Which means that someone had to have access to the loading dock and her accounts.”
“But what if this is a mistake, what if she did sign these permits. It has happened before right?” Kirsten turned to Charlie. “Things get signed but the time stamp is wrong?”
“I’ll admit it has happened at the Inn, but this doesn’t seem like one of those incidents Kirsten.” Charlie replied. He then looked at Anita. “Are you sure that this signature was forged?”
Anita nodded without hesitation.
“Then maybe you should tell them what we know Kirsten.” Charlie spoke, stunning the other two in the room. “Maybe you should tell them what Aidan had told you earlier.”
“What’s going on?” Anita asked, with concern.
Kirsten sighed, knowing that she was breaking her trust with her cousin Aidan. “Look, what I am about to tell you is confidential okay? I don’t know how much of it is true but from what I understand. It was Aidan that forged that signature.”
“Why would he do that?” Emmet asked, confused. “Aidan isn’t stupid, he knows better than to go behind his mother’s back like that! Are you sure that you heard him right Kirsten?”
“Oh my god.” Anita gasped, she held her hand to her mouth. An idea popped in her head and she didn’t know if she was more terrified to think it or to explain it to her grandchildren. “Aidan flipped. There was going to be a merger without your father knowing it. Mathias was going to split the profits of his newest invention with another company but the deal didn’t go through.”
The siblings stood quiet trying to collect as much of what Anita was saying as possible.
“Edward Rayburn was trying to get one of us to flip so that he could get access into the company after the deal didn’t pan-out. I didn’t think that Aidan would do this to his family but after Mathias denied him a higher position in the company I could see why this was a better offer.”
“So he is a traitor.”
Kirsten eye’d her brother. “Aidan isn’t a traitor! He is just a boy who was hurt by his father’s power trip. He didn’t mean for anything to turn out like this grandmother, you must understand that. Aidan was just tired of being head of security here.”
“So he made a pact with a man who killed his mother?” Emmet hollered, he didn’t know how his anger got the best of him, but it did. “Kirsten, what Aidan did not only hurts the family, but it directly affects his! Where are the diamonds now?”
“There isn’t any trace of them at the docks.” Anita announced.
Emmet snarled. “Because whoever was working with Aidan probably moved them by now! That means tons of invested money is down the drain and I will be left to cover this family’s ass’ as the legal department! This could mean cutting jobs Kirsten.”
“I understand that!”
“No, you don’t.” He looked at Charlie. “Maybe you should take my sister back to your room so that I could find a way to tell my father about this one.”
“Tell me about what?” James asked, he looked at the four people in the room each with their own secret to withhold. “What is going on between the four of you and why are you two yelling at each other?”
Anita moved forward, putting her hand on her son’s shoulder. It pained her to know that she only had one child left, but quickly brushed the tears from her eyes. “There has been an incident.”
“I just got off the phone with the authorities.” Mathias spoke from behind James, he walked into the room and looked confused but continued. “Apparently my wife’s death wasn’t an accident after all and they found the man who caused the car crash.”
The group had their own reactions to the news, each with their own responses. “What does that mean Uncle Mathias?”
“They found Edward Rayburn in his home just a couple hours ago with a suicide note attached to his dead body.” He gulped, trying to keep his stomach from emptying out it’s contents. “I don’t know what to even think right now, but they said that Edward was still angry about a deal that didn’t go through.”
The group stood silent, uneasy with the news that they just heard. It was unclear what had happened to Edward, but an eeriness traveled from person to person.

Scene Nine:
Paris, France.
Imogene Jurado leaned against the doorframe, she eye’d her brother with perfect precision. How could she have been so blind to the truth for so long. Maybe she had known all along that Aidan was dating Wesley they had always been close friends.
A part of her wanted to believe that maybe she just didn’t want to think that her brother was as messed up as she had felt. Sighing, she stepped into the room and caught his attention. Trying to smile, but failing horribly she sat on his bed. “My head is killing me.”
Aidan smirked, trying to balance his anxiety. “You had a lot to drink.”
“When does that ever stop me?” Imogene scoffed. The two sat in silence as she tried to think of what to say next. She could tell that he was scanning for the right words to say as well. “I should have known that you were in trouble. Sometimes I get lost in my own little world and forget that others are having problems as well.”
He looked at his sister, she seemed so much wiser today. As if the bottle of wine and a trip to the floor was what she had needed. “Get to the point Imogene.”
“When did you start seeing Wesley?”
The words hit him like a ton of bricks. “We started talking in 2009 and had been on-and-off for awhile after that. I guess when you don’t know who you are, getting into a relationship that is completely out of your realm of normalcy just intensifies those questions.”
She knew exactly what he meant. “And now?”
“I’m just as confused.” Aidan sighed. “Listen, Imogene we don’t have to go over this if you don’t want to. I’ve kept my relationship with Wesley in the dark because I never wanted to cause the family any confusion. I’m not gay, I still fancy girls quite a bit.”
Imogene chuckled. “You’re my brother and as much as we fight, I still care about you. I don’t know how to deal with something like this, but from what I saw the two of you didn’t seem to end things on good terms. I hope that you can find true happiness.”
“Why are you being so nice to me?”
She rolled her eyes. “I now feel so much closer to you.”
“Imogene, this whole thing with our mother and that man Edward is going to be all over the news. I honestly don’t think father will let me step foot in the company again.” Aidan spoke. “I don’t want you to get sucked into picking sides.”
“We will get through this, alright?” Imogene assured him. “This whole mess is behind us. Lets just pick up the pieces and move forward.”
“Okay.”
[.....]
Scene Ten:
Paris, France.
“What do we do about the diamonds?” Anita Thurlow asked. “We can’t just simply let that go! We lost thousands of dollars in that deal.”
Mathias sighed. “Well right now I think the best thing we can do is try to figure out what exactly happened and where everything went wrong. I know I have been hard to deal with in the past Anita but I would like you to work beside me on this.”
“That’s a good idea.” James spoke up. “I will have Emmet draw up some legal forms to see what we can do about the incident and have him work close with my financial advisor, Frank Nelson, on trying to stable our expenses. If the two of you can keep Thurlow-Jurado Overseas afloat I think we can weather this storm quite nicely.”
The three adults traded promises. James Thurlow watched as his mother retired to the bar for a drink and was joined by Mathias soon after. His wife, Caitlyn then joined him with a glass of his own. “I thought you could use this after the day you had.”
He kissed her cheek. “I am just glad to have you and my family here. I cannot believe I just let Mathias run things without looking things over. How could I even begin to think he could run things alone? My sister is dead because of a deal gone sour Caitlyn. How does that even happen?”
“You just have to trust that no matter what happens now, the family is on the right path.” She replied, sipping her wine and snuggling up to James. “We will get through this together.”
“What about Aidan?” Kirsten asked, her father turned around to see her standing behind him. “What are you guys going to do with him now that he isn’t trusted in the family business?”
James looked at Caitlyn. “Kirsten, we don’t know what to do with Aidan. But I am sure we can find a place for him in another business, maybe somewhere he can feel more comfortable?”
“I was thinking that he could join us back home in Stone Creek.”
“But what would he do?” Caitlyn asked.
Charlie stepped into the group and put an arm around Kirsten. “We thought it over and we think that he might be a perfect candidate to work in the hotel business. I need some extra hands around the place and it looks like Aidan might need a change of scenery.”
“That’s a good idea but I don’t think it is right.” James advised.
“Dad, I don’t want to chuck dirt on your way of protecting the family but I think this might be a really good thing for Aidan. Remember when you told Aunt Shannon to keep me out of trouble and I went and found trouble on my own? Well, that made me run into the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with.”
She smiled proudly.

Scene Eleven:
Paris, France.
2006
“That place was amazing!” Kirsten spoke, trying to keep herself contained as she walked alongside Gavin. It had been a dream come true after she decided to sneak out of her Aunt’s home. Walking in the night time breeze, lights glistening under the moon. The romance was in the air.
Kirsten turned to Gavin. “What do we do next?”
He smirked. “Anything that your little heart wants to do.”
She focused back on the road, a huge grin across her face. “I don’t know what I want to do. I had one of the most amazing nights of my life so far and I don’t ever want to return back to Stone Creek. If only I could stay here with you.”
“Then do it.”
“I can’t!” She laughed.
Gavin stopped her in her tracks, turning Kirsten to face him and smiled down on her. “You can do anything that you want to do. I say you stay with me and never look back. I want you Kirsten and I don’t know if I could contain myself anymore.”
The two leaned in for a kiss and she immediately felt butterflies in her stomach. “Well what should we do first?”
“I have an idea.” Gavin spoke, pulling her into an alley and pulling her into his arms. They kissed along the side of the building invisible to all other life. This was the fairy tale that Kirsten had read about. Then she felt it, his hand running down her leg.
“What are you doing?” She spat, trying to catch her breath. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to have sex with him, but Kirsten didn’t see why now had to be the time. She wanted it to be perfect. “Gavin, stop I don’t want to do this now.”
She could feel his breath on her neck as he ignored her pleas. Pushing his body against hers and cooing her with his words. His eyes flashed with desire. “It’s okay Kirsten, we are going to be together forever. Let’s just enjoy the night like you wanted to.”
Kirsten tried to wiggle out of his grip as he tugged at her dress with his manly hands. The roughness of the altercation caused her to hit her head on the wall. “Get off!” She screamed, pushing him with all her might. “What are you doing Gavin?”
“Do you want to be with me?” He asked with anger.
She didn’t know anymore. “I need to go home.”
But before Kirsten could pull away, Gavin pushed her against the wall. “You do not get to tease me all night and then just leave me whenever you please!” He pulled her underwear down as she started to cry in fear. “Now be good and don’t make me hurt you.”
“You already are!”
Kirsten turned her head to the side, she could see people walking past the alley unaware that she was being taken advantage of not too far from them. What did she do to deserve this treatment? When Gavin loosened his grip on her she took full advantage and kneed him in the stomach, breaking away.
But he grabbed her leg and she plummeted to the floor, defeated.
“You stupid bitch!” Gavin chuckled, amused by her attempt to get away. “You have a fire in you and that just turns me on even more.”
Closing her eyes she felt his pressure on top of her. She could hear his breath as he kissed her neck and slid down completely on her bruised body. His hands wandering places that now felt foreign to her body. She waited for him to enter her and get it over with.
Kirsten just wanted to go home.
Then she heard the sound of a skull cracking and the pressure on top of her body was now eased. Kirsten opened her eyes to see that Gavin was no longer on top of her and that another man was hoisting her up. She didn’t have the desire to fight any longer.
“Lets get you out of here.” The man said, putting his coat around her body and lifting her to her feet. “Lets get you to a hospital. Do you have a name?”
