History
Having grown up in Austin, Texas, Peter James Sutton, Jr. hardly knew the rest of the Sutton clan that lived in Stone Creek. Especially since his parents departed the town while his mother, Rita Sutton, was still pregnant with baby Peter James. When he was a young man his mother would tell him stories about when his father, Peter Sutton, Sr., ran Sutton Enterprises and drove it to success. Rita would often characterize Patrick Sutton as the rightful villain much to Peter Sr., dismay. His father was fine owning the Sutton Ranch in Texas and was fixing his son up to take over the ranch when he was older. But Peter James liked his mother’s stories of one day taking back what was rightfully theirs. He began dating Hannah Cole while they were in High School and he was starting to fall in love with her. But Hannah never wanted to leave Austin. So Peter James broke up with her after High School and moved to California where he studied Industrial Engineering with a minor in Business Management.
While failing Dr. Tina Blake’s class in 2005, Peter James found himself sleeping with the older woman for a grade. It was his first taste of deception, and although he enjoyed her company, he knew she was married. Dr. Blake gave him a passing grade and asked him for a favor. She asked Peter James to help blackmail her husband into getting rid of their prenup, since she had a feeling he was going to leave her with nothing. After their plan worked Dr. Blake divorced her husband for everything that he was worth and left Berkley, California and Peter James behind.
In 2008 he slept with a woman named Miranda Greyson, it turned out that she was competing against Peter James for an Intern position at Tackerman Manufacturers. Through a mutual agreement, they decided to play fair. That was until Peter met the boss’ daughter, Nicole Ainsley and fell in love with her. Angry, Miranda slept with their boss in order to win his favoring. But when their boss chose Peter James over Miranda, she packed her bags and congratulated him on his win. Her last parting gift was telling their boss that Peter James was sleeping with his daughter, Nicole. He won the trust of Nicole’s father and began working full-time with the company. His relationship with Nicole started to fall apart when his need to reach the top consumed him. Peter James had plans to get back to Stone Creek and take over the family business, but first he was offered a higher position within the company. Nicole gave Peter James an ultimatum, she asked him to pick her over her father’s company. Unable to disappoint her, he chose Nicole, but a couple days later he broke-up with her as well and moved to Sacramento, California where he took a job at Wakefield Industrial Engineering in 2010.
Start of the Series...
In 2011 he was promoted to Junior Project Manager and began working heavily. Occasionally making phone calls home to check on his parents and Hannah Cole. It wasn’t until late 2011 did he hear about the upheaval at Sutton Enterprises and began to craft his plan to seize the company from his cousin, Gillian.
