History
Born on September 3rd, 1959 to a local hardware store owner, Alberto Hannigan, and his flimsy wife, Natasha Hannigan. He was raised to eventually take over the family business and was treated more as a slave than a child. From a family that barely scraped by, Jackson ‘Jacks’ Hannigan grew up with Ramona ‘Mona’ Duarte and often were teased that they would grow old together. Both bonded over being misunderstood and they began dating in 1975 while in their freshman year of High School. By this time, the Hannigan’s second son was born, Timothy Hannigan, was treated like royalty and was pushed into his studies by his father, Alberto. Because of this treatment, the brother’s were at odds very often and couldn’t agree on anything. The often volatile Jacks would tease his brother and lock him in the cellar for hours at a time, to which, Timothy would spend most of those times reading.

Corey Wilkinson came to town in 1975 and became close to both, Jacks and Mona, the trio caused chaos in the town and rebelled against their parents as much as they could. Often getting in trouble with the law and Corey’s father, Officer Grady Wilkinson. But during a boating trip on Cuttlebone Lake, where the three stole a boat and went joy riding, they crashed and Corey slipped into a coma where he spent most of the next decade. Jacks and Mona later broke-up in 1977 after she couldn’t deal with what happened to their friend. Eventually Jacks left Stone Creek for college and ended up in Cuttlebone City where he studied engineering. Alberto grew tired of his oldest son’s failure to take over the family business and once he was too old to work in the store, he pushed Timothy into doing so. A robbery in late 1981 took a tragic turn when Timothy was killed and Alberto blamed Jacks for his brother’s death. Jacks returned to Stone Creek to take over the business and let his parents mourn his brother peacefully.

In 1985 when Jacks and Mona were beginning to reconnect, Corey Wilkinson woke up from his coma and forced the two to confront their parts in his coma. Corey rejected his friends and tried to cope with what happened in the last fifteen years of his life. A jealous Jacks tried blackmailing Mona into taking the fault in Corey’s eyes, he convinced Mona to stay away form Corey and stay by his side. But eventually Corey found out that it was Jacks who was driving the boat and not Mona, the two connected and began a relationship while Jacks was left out, he left Stone Creek once again for Canada until his two former friends left Stone Creek.

Jacks reclaimed his father’s hardware business and settled into Stone Creek in 2001 after a failed relationship with a woman named Destiny Malone.
