“That’s a perfect idea.” James responded, slicing his pancakes. “Maybe this weekend we can all get sometime together.” His mind flashed back to the dream, he could see Caitlyn giggling in the grass field, her flowing white dress dancing around her.
“James?”
He looked up at his wife. “Sorry, I was just... what where you saying?”
Caitlyn frowned, but returned to their conversation. “I was asking you if there was time to take a boat out to the lake? It would give us time to see everyone and even spend time at The Lakeside Inn. We haven’t been there in quite some time.”
James nodded along.
“Is everything okay?” Caitlyn asked, her hands on her hips. “You seem out of it today, honey.”
A vague smile brought his focus on Caitlyn’s face. “I just have a lot on my mind. But Caitlyn, your idea sounds magnificent, I will see if Emmet and Iris can come down this weekend as well, make it a whole family thing!”
“That would be lovely.”
