History
Adam Clarke had his whole life mapped out for him even before he was born. His father, a oil tycoon, moved the family to Wolf’s Point to keep them away from the locals of their Texan upbringings and built the headquarters of Clarke Oil Corporation in the mountain top town. Adam grew up with certain luxuries that most the residents around him never dreamed of. While escaping his life for the night, Adam met Patsy Sutton, who had been escaping her’s as well. They spent the entire night talking about her family and her grandmother’s holdings that would soon go to Patsy. After Patsy discovered that she was indeed the holder of the Adeline Sutton Holdings, she celebrated by having sex with Adam Clarke. They began dating in late 1974.
Cutler Sutton found out about their relationship and went to Adam’s father in hopes to marry Patsy off to the young man. Patsy would later break things off with Adam because she didn’t want to be married so young. This angered Adam, not because she didn’t want to marry him, but because she didn’t explain herself. When Patsy finally came around and asked Adam to marry her, he declined. So Patsy left Stone Creek and headed to Cuttlebone City for school. Adam felt lonely without Patsy by his side and immediately regretted not agreeing to marry her. The next year he followed Patsy to Cuttlebone City and enrolled in the University. After a series of misfortunes they both finally reunited and spent the remainder of their time in Cuttlebone City together, sharing a loft in the city. The got married in 1980 and later had a daughter, Candice Maisie Clarke, in 1985.
Start of the Series...
Traveling between both Wolf’s Point and Stone Creek, Adam Clarke, has spent most of his days juggling his father’s company and his family. With their daughter off traveling the world for her studies, Adam has stood by his wife’s side in keeping out of Sutton Enterprises and their troubles, although he remains good friends with Patrick Sutton.
In 2013, when Clifton Briggs confronted and threatened Patsy -- Adam stood by her side and insisted that Clifton leave their home and stay away from Patsy.
