“What happened to the dinner?” Charlie Sutton called out as he wandered the house. It was the day after Christmas and things were starting to get back to normal for Charlie and Kirsten Sutton. Except one thing.
He placed Megan’s doll on the counter as he searched the house for Kirsten. Walking into the living room, he found his wife sorting through some of their bills. “Do you remember when you were so eager to get my parents to see Megan?”
Kirsten looked up at Charlie and recalled their fights.
“What happened?”
Watching as his wife scrunched up her face, Charlie sat next to her. “Do you not want them to get to know their granddaughter anymore? Because if that is the case then everything we have been fighting about has been meaningless.”
